North Star Alliance

St Peter’s are very proud to be members of North Star and Polaris Teaching School Alliances. North Star and Polaris formed a unique partnership in 2016 to support school improvement across North Yorkshire and work with around 70 primary schools in the region. Our collective aim is to improve outcomes for all children through a self-sustaining, dynamic system of school improvement and support across North Yorkshire and beyond. '

School Transport

Cloakroom doors are opened at 8.50 am; please don’t arrive at school before this time.  We encourage independence and like children to come into school by themselves, especially in Years 1-6.  In nursery/reception we like the children to come in and organise their own belongings, but also like to have daily contact with parents/carers - so please come in with your child.  Should you wish to talk at length to a member of staff, please come into the classroom when school finishes at 3.30 pm.
Families who live further away but wish to walk part of the way have permission to park in either the Oak pub or village hall car parks.  This is a good way to encourage physical activity as well as easing congestion at the school gate.

Stephensons operates a minibus service for children who live in Myton. This service is organised by North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC). Children are escorted to/from the minibus by a member of staff who ensures all children are wearing seatbelts when the bus leaves school at approx. 3.35 pm. There is also a taxi service to/from Cundall, run by NYCC.

Please note, vehicles are not permitted to go in/out of the school gates between the hours of 8.45 and 9.15 am and 3.15 and 3.45 pm.
