Welcome to
St Peter's Brafferton CE VA Primary School
Welcome to St Peter’s Brafferton, we are a nurturing community where every person can flourish. We aspire to be the best in all we do, promoting lifelong learners who are curious, compassionate, and courageous. We value every person and every opportunity to ‘let our light shine’.
As a small, village primary school located between Boroughbridge and Easingwold, we are so proud of our school, children, and wider community. We ensure all our children leave Year 6 with confidence, great progress and successes across the curriculum and have a love of learning!
Our wonderful school is a nurturing environment for children from 2-11 years old. We have an onsite Preschool, and we are open 8-6pm every day during term time. We are also open during the holidays from 8.30am-5.30pm with our holiday club provision (please note 4 closure weeks a year).
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum and excel in Music and Sports (Music Mark 2024-2025, Healthy Schools Awards in Bronze, Silver and Gold, Climate Action School 2026 and Read, Write Inc School). We pride ourselves on our curriculum to ensure all children are critical thinkers, able to ask questions of the world and live out our Christian vision.
We have a dedicated team of staff, who plan an exciting and engaging curriculum, which allows children to learn about the wider world. We provide a wealth of enrichment opportunities and experiences from Forest School to STEM week activities, visits from musicians and sports people and a wide range of after school clubs.
We believe in working closely with our families and local community to provide focused support to ensure every child achieves. We provide regular opportunities for parents to engage with their child’s learning including fortnightly Celebration Assemblies on Fridays, Class Dojo as a platform to share learning and open mornings/afternoons.
We are always happy to show prospective parents our school and our preschool. Please contact our School Office to make an appointment on 01423 360250 or admin@st-peters-brafferton.n-yorks.sch.uk. We look forward to welcoming you!
