Midday Supervisory Assistant

Salary: £12.26 per hour

Grade: AB SCP 2

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Fixed Term Contract End Date: 19th July 2025

Vacancy Hours: 10 hours per week, Term Time Only (12 – 2pm)

Location: St Peter’s Brafferton CE VA Primary School & Helperbees Preschool

We are looking for a cheerful, friendly, and hard-working person to help care for our Preschool children at lunchtimes. You would work as part of a team responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of our children during their midday break through careful supervision of the dinner hall, playground, field, cloakrooms, and classrooms etc.

You would be expected to collect the lunch trolley from school, serve lunch and supervise our early years children eating. You would work within our positive behaviour policy and manage behaviour positively and proactively.

You would support the team with the clear up of equipment and food after lunch has been served and also supervise and assist pupils with their food where necessary.

There is the possibility of availability of additional hours working in both Helperbees and our wraparound care (see separate post).

Before and After School Club Assistant

Vacancy Hours: 11 hours per week

Location: St Peter’s Brafferton CE VA Primary School & Helperbees Preschool

 

We are looking for a cheerful, friendly, and hard-working person to help care for our Preschool and school children at breakfast and after school club.

The position is 11 hours per week- Monday breakfasts 8-9am, Mondays afterschool 3.30-6pm, Tuesdays after school 3.30-6pm, Thursdays 3.30-6pm and Fridays 3.30-6pm

 Duties will include providing high quality after school care in a safe and positive environment. You will need to be able to supervise children and plan and organised a range of interesting and engaging activities. You will also need to be able to prepare healthy snacks, and food hygiene training will be provided if required.

There is the possibility of availability of additional hours working in our popular holiday club during the school holidays too.
